A large landfill in the capital of Nicaragua, always covered in fog, is the home of Maria, a special girl with a lot of imagination. She lives with Lilibeth, her mother, and a few dogs and their puppies that are about to be sold. When Maria accidentally poisons them, Lilibeth makes the difficult decision to abandon her at a recycling plant, where she is forced to work alongside other children.
