A TERCER CINE WORKSPACE

We seek to introduce an alternative model of production in which we question the traditional order of production.

The order understood as the writing of script>shooting>montage is called into question.

For us, the three instances of production can take place in parallel, giving the films and the processes absolute freedom.

The workshop consists of working and collaborating intensively on materials generated by the participants during 9 meetings in 5 weeks.

The meetings will be interspersed by screenings in the Third Cinema space of films programmed to align with the cinematic forms and themes addressed in the workshop. Participants will have the opportunity to talk and discuss with invited filmmakers and critics.

The workshop culminates with an exhibition open to the public of the works produced.

In each class an individual assignment is presented to be filmed and shown at the following meeting.

The material presented is discussed among all participants in order to find a possible film from a process of experimentation over time.

Interspersed, the screenings at Tercer Cine will seek to establish relationships with the topics discussed in class through dialogues with the filmmakers.

The work dynamic is quite intensive, so a high degree of commitment is expected from the participants.
